West Florida Electric is a member-owned, not-for-profit cooperative providing reliable electricity and other value-added services in Calhoun, Holmes, Jackson and Washington Counties. Established in 1937, WFEC is headquartered in Graceville, Florida and also has district office locations in Bonifay and Sneads. WFEC serves over 29,000 meters within its four-county service area. 

West Florida Electric Cooperative Association, Inc. was formed on December 10, 1937 by 712 rural residents who banded together and borrowed $194,000 from REA to build the original 262 miles of power lines to serve the area. Actual day-to-day operation of the co-op began in 1939.
